HAND CROCHETED HOT PADS
My DIL collects these charming hot pads and uses them for coasters. They work perfectly and look awesome in her 1930's home.
I gave her the red and white basket and the bloomers. I found them for a $1 years ago and gave them to her for her collection.
I always wondered how these little thin hot pads could be of service in a kitchen. Maybe back then they collcted them too because they are so cute.
Love,
JEANNE
Welcome home, dear Jeanne. I tried to call you last night, but no one answered. Maybe you were asleep.
I hope your hand is hurting less this morning. I am very glad there is no break, but I know how much it can hurt even with no broken bones.
The pads are darling. I've seen many over the years.

I have several as well handed down from kitchen to kitchen. I know some were used around a pot handle, moving it to sink for draining. Mainly though they hung as decoration.
