WELCOME TO "MY"
I am totally thinking pink today. Beverly, at How Sweet the Sound, is hosting Pink Saturday for the most fun Blog Party of the week This pink is powerful stuff. I for one, am loving it. It seems that the numbers are close to 200 Pinkies or more that participate each week, and they are loving it too. You go Beverly!
A MOTHER'S TREASURES
My photo was taken in my sister's living room. This beautiful Nippon, hand painted, vase was my mother's favorite treasure. Mom selected six items that she wanted her six children to have after she passed away. Her instructions were to take six pieces of paper numbered one to six, and then draw for one of the six items which were also numbered the same way. My sister, who is also my backyard neighbor, was the lucky winner that day. We ALL wanted that vase. My mother chose beautiful things for us to have and we all picked wonderful treasures as well. It was a sad day because our mother was gone but it was a happy day to share her most loved treasures.
My sister hung these tassels and also put peacock feathers in the vase. It looks beautiful in her living room.
Note: I posted this vase in 2008. I think it is worth repeating.
Have a great time visiting all of the participants in today's pink fun. I hope you enjoyed today's post.Love,
JEANNE
It truly is a beauty. I remember the story of this vase. Your mother loved you all well.
Happy Pink Saturday, dear Jeanne. I miss you.

I think I recall that vase story, too, Jeanne! Your family is just a treasure trove of treasures!!! What a fair way to divide "the stuff". . . your mom was very wise!!!
I know you are having a ball with your family. . . and the game and festivities sound wonderful!!! I don't blame you, however, about looking forward to getting home so you can rest!! You remind me of the Energizer Bunny. . . you just keep going and going and going and going. . . . . . :)
Have a great PS and a wonderful time at the game and a safe trip home!!

Happy Pink Saturday Jeanne Sweetie...
What a gorgeous share today. This vase is so breathtakingly elegant. It just screams of beauty. I love the shades of pink, and the gold tipped handles. I can see why all of you truly wanted this vase. What a smart Momma to settle it just like that, and I love it that you all carried out her wishes, as sometimes that does not happen.
The peacock feathers and the tassel are a beautiful addition. Your sister knew the perfect touch. SO pretty Jeanne, so pretty.
Hope you have a wonderful Pink Saturday and a beautiful weekend. You are SO loved. Country hugs and much love, Sherry

I do remember that pretty vase too Jeanne. Now tell me something, you would know this and many others I'm sure. At what price tag do you call it a VASE instead of a VASE? Now if you could hear my voice, you would hear the different pronunciation that's going with it. Can you hear it????
I have a piece of NIPPON... a little one. Not sure what it's value, but it was given to me by my mom's sister in Windsor. I LOVE IT.
I posted something for you on Summer Breeze fb. Sister has a message for you ; )
I'm going to bed, my eyes hurt. All went well today. It was sunny, but cold. I posted a pink sky on my fb. It was the sky coming home tonight. Mom was all around us.
Brittany sang Amazing Grace. SISTER was wonderful too. It was special.
I know your mom loved all of you so very much. My mom loved me too.
And I love you

That is a beautiful vase, Jeanne. No wonder you all treasure it. By the way, my mom did much the same thing several years ago and gave us each something we loved. She's still alive, but she wanted to do it then. Happy Pink Saturday!

I believe my ex mother in law had this same vase. If not it was another one that was eerily similar. I always loved it. Your mothers treasure is beautiful.

That vase is truly Gorgeous. If you sister got the Vase, what did you get?
Also read the post about your poodles. I didn't realize you had that many poodles over the years.
Poodles are very smart.
Our LUCY is adored by us, and she is just like a baby...always wants to cuddle and be on our lap
ONLY SHE IS 65 LBS....standard poodle.
Glad you are home from your trip to Florida.
