Thank you Sally for hosting blue Monday so faithfully. I always wonder if I can possibly find another blue thing to post but so far so good. I enjoy this event so much. Please visit Sally's blog for lots more blue at, Smiling Sally.
I HAVE A TOUGH TIME WRITING MY CHRISTMAS CARDS
With all the excitement of decorating, making Christmas cookies, wrapping gifts and Christmas parties to have and attend, my last thought is writing my christmas cards. Then the cards start coming in the mail and each day that goes by I feel guilty about not sending my cards a whole lot sooner.
Sooooooo, tonight I started on my cards.
Wouldn't this make a beautiful card?
Too much work.
What about this?
Awwwww, not possible, this is a vintage card, not available. I do love it though.
I love snowmen cards. Hmmmmm.
All pics of my family and I love this idea. It is kind of crazy busy. One of our annual Christmas cookies days. Can you see Cheri' my darling little poodle?
This was made as a trial collage by my sister's boyfriend. Too busy for my taste.
I am so confused. This is why I just don't get my cards done. Do you have the same problem? Please tell me I am not the only one.
I think I need this Christmas Planner. Organization is what I need.
See that note on the bottom. I am sooooo guilty. I feel like I need to write notes in all my cards. Do you know how much time that takes. I have to tell ya...I have a very long Christmas card list.
Thanks for listening to my Christmas card woes.
I could use some advice.
Happy Blue Monday. I will really be blue if I don't finish my cards today. Sigh!
Love,
JEANNE
OOO, Jeanne, I am guilty of the same. I have sent a few cards out, but not too many. I had to cut our list of cards down a few years ago...postage too high.
I have received some beautiful cards and, like you, I feel guilty that I haven't sent out many.
Well, let's don't beat ourselves up about it...most people understand that it takes awhile longer to get movin' when you "are of a certain age"...:)))
Have a wonderful Christmas...and much love to you, my sister friend.

Jeanne, I have known you for 41 years, and you know I love and adore you. But, I have to be honest here. I just don't see it in your future to be an early mailer of cards.♥♥♥
And, you did start my morning with a giggle and smile. After all, it is your good heart that counts the most of all.

I wrote mine out yesterday. I only add a note to a few....to the ones that always add notes in theirs :-)

Hi Jeanne. The time till Christmas is always a busy time , right? I like to write my Christmas cards very early so no need to worry about then then. I did learn that over the years as I al ways got nervous in the last week with all the shopping and baking and cooking. We will be for Christmas dinner in our sons home so I need not worry about anything. I am very happy about that. My house is mostly decorated so no worries for me this week. Yeahhh.
MERRY CHRISTMAS TO YOU AND YOUR FAMILY

So you want advice... from ME? Okay, here goes: this year I've decided NOT to send cards! My advice is for you to join me!
I mean, really, we all simply send cards to everyone who sends cards to us! (sigh) I decided that THIS YEAR I have a great excuse not to do cards, and by next year, I'll be off everyone's list! Ta-dah!
Thanks for sharing your blues.
Happy Blue Monday, Jeanne.

Hi Jeanne,
Oh I'm the same way when it comes to cards. I tell myself each year that I will send them out right after Thanksgiving, but I end up sending them after New Year's instead! lol Happy Blue Monday to you! :)
Hugs,
Jessie

I would wait till the cows come home to get your card Jeanne. I LOVE your cards.
Do you know what I used to do? I would always send out New Year's cards with a letter, never Christmas cards. I always knew that when the kids were small, I would be running into over load. I've only started writing Xmas cards out when we moved to the cottage. Mine were mostly written out and mailed by Dec. 1st. NOW THAT'S a first. What does that tell you??? That I have WAYYYY too much time on my hands, that's what.
I can't sit at my computer for long anymore Jeanne. Damn back : (
I must start using the iPad. God, I'll never get out of bed!!!
Saw Sister Lolotte today again. I was there by noon. She just bout fell off her chair. I brought her Randy's grandmother's journal to read. It's such a beautifully written journal. I couldn't put it down when I read it many yrs. ago.
