A PEEK OF CHRISTMAS 2011
My christmas village is not all vintage but the Christmas season is a time to share. The people in front of the village are vintage but the detail does not show up in this photo.
This photo was taken at night by my husband. the village is on display in our entertainment center. He was trying something new with his camera. It almost looks like a painting. I will be sharing it again when I take a photo during the day. It will be interesting to compare them.

I am sharing my grandmother's putty jar again today. she saved the trinkets on the putty jar for years and then made a memory jar which is about 80 years old. It belongs to my sister Jane Anne. I never tire of looking at it because I always find something I haven't seen before.
Now for the closeups.
I hope you will forgive me for sharing a re-post. I am having 35 guests including our oldest daughter on Saturday and my time for my computer is very limited. I have missed you all very much.
Thank you for your faithful visits.
Loves and hugs to all of my dear blogging friends,
JEANNE
Oh I have touched that putty jar. I know how many treasures are in and around it. It truly is AMAZING. I'd never seen anything like it before Jeanne. 80 yrs. old WOW.
Have fun with the gang on Saturday. I know everything will be magical. You have that magic touch, sing it Jeanne!!!!
Send me an email when you can breath.

Oh, Jeanne!! This is just priceless! And you could turn it this way and that, having a view for Blue Monday, and one for Pink Saturday---and then there's REDnesday and Vintage Thingie day, and whatever other special designations of treasures we're showing each other from our things.
Hope you're not overdoing for that lovely crowd---I'm so sorry about your injury; I didn't know it til just now in the previous post. It's hard enough to get ready for a party when you're going on all cylinders, but with a sling or cast or even just a Bang-Dade---you have to be careful.
I'm still doing some get-ready for our little tea on Sunday---though OUR crowd will all fit at the dining table. Just a few friends for a little getting-together for a nice evening.
Stay well and warm, my Dearie, and have a wonderful time!!

Your village scene is very pretty, but my main interest went to your grandmothers putty jar.

Yep, I'd say 80 years makes it a Vintage Thingy....and what a Thingy! It's amazing...your grandmother was very creative. I have glass jars filled with old thingies and a glass ginger jar lamp base that I filled with all kinds of sewing thingies, buttons, fabric, and old junk...it's a lamp in my sewing room. I'll have to show it sometime. Thanks for your vist to Sara Jane's Christmas Story...I loved your comment, and shed tears for your Lost Dolly! Hope your weekend is filled with fun and family.

35 guests..........WOW. YOU WILL BE BUSY. But it also sounds like it will be so much fun.

I remember when you shared this before, Jeanne. It is truly a work of art...I LOVE it!
Hope all is well with you! I shopped all day, now I'm madly decorating one of our trees....hoping to be finished before #3 arrives!! We thought he was going to enter the world last night, but decided to "hang in there" a little longer! I know my DIL is ready!
