Linking to Outdoor Wednesday and Blue Monday
Susan at, A Southern Daydreamer, is our host for today's event. Please visit Susan's blog for great outdoor posts.
Very soon my daughter and her family will be here for some fun in the snow. Sadly we haven't had enough snow but our local ski area has all of their slopes open for the season. Snow making equipment has been getting daily use for several weeks.
Located high in the mountains of Western North Carolina, we are the home of “Great Skiing in the Great Smokies!” One of the first areas in the region to open each season, we are committed to making your skiing and snowboarding experience the best it can be. We utilize one the most advanced snowmaking systems in the Southeast and offer 100% snowmaking on 16 lighted slopes including the Cat Cage Terrain Park. With a variety of terrain for beginners to experts alike and over 4,000 sets of snowsports equipment, the Cataloochee experience offers something for everyone. Plan your Great Skiing in the Great Smokies vacation today at Cataloochee...where we're all about the FUN!
Our grands enjoying the slopes at Cattalochee last year.
It won't be long now. I do hope we get some snow that sticks instead of melting the next day.

When are they coming? I'll be hoping for cold and snow for them.
Bob's hood looks too cool. Did you just add those photos? I don't think I saw them earlier this morning.
Love you.♥

My niece and family visited us the week between Christmas and New Year and went to Cataloochee to go tubing. They got there at noon and the first available tubing tickets for for 10PM at night! They were very disappointed that they couldn't go tubing. I guess the trick is to get there early.
Hugs,
Penny

I thought I was looking at a piece of plastic on his hood... nope never seen that before.
I can send you some snow, but not too much. It's all nice and white, but nothing like the last few years. Do you remember 3 yrs. ago here Jeanne? The pic with Randy beside Riley's car? We couldn't see the car through the snow. It was wild. Last night I swear the house was going to blow away. It was soooo windy. Some of the ice on the roof crashed into the porch door OMG I thought it broke it. I didn't fall asleep till 3am because of it and other none important things on my mind : (
So today i was going to venture out, but I'm going out tomorrow to see Sister and it's still -11. I think I'll stay warm inside.
Love the kids on the mountain. Let's hope for more snow in your area and thank god for snow machines : )
