VINTAGE AND THRIFTY TREASURES
What could be better than that?
I am sharing a photo of my vintage desk but that isn't the focus of this post. The treasures ON my desk is what this post is all about.
I love the inlaid work on my desk. I used to sell antiques and this is a treasure I bought to keep. I have shared this before so lets move on to the next photos.
I moved these vintage vases to my desk from the entertainment center. They are more showy here. I love the birds and the color.
This gorgeous bisque magnolia is vintage and a thrift purchase at a flea market. I paid $2. It is from the 60's. It is so delicate I hate to pick it up.
This lamp is a yard sale purchase for $10. Not a huge bargain but I couldn't resist. The shade is the perfect color for my decor and it fits on my desk so well.
I almost never purchase anything new and I love to go thrifting and antiqueing.
LIFE IS GOOD
Love,
JEANNE
Happy Tuesday, Jeanne.
Girl, you know I love those vases, but you need to get up right now and go over there and reverse them. Those sweet birds "must" be facing each other. I won't be able to rest all day with them shunning one another.
Love you.♥ Did I make you laugh? Was I funny?♥

Hi Jeanne! Those are gorgeous green vases! I just love those. The lamp is so pretty and I do believe I would have grabbed it too. You do have the prettiest things and that desk! It's gorgeous. Hope you've been doing well. I feel so out of it being gone just a week. Thanks always for popping in to see me.
Be a sweetie,
shelia ;)

Great olden pieces, Jeanne.
I had to laugh at Beverly's comment...my mother used to do the same thing. I had a pair of needlepoints once, a man and a woman. I hung them, facing away from ea other, just to see if she would say anything. Of course, the first time she saw them, she switched them to face ea other. hahhhaaa....so funny.

I love seeing your good life unfold---your wonderful collections of beautiful things, your even more beautiful family and all the wonderful gatherings.
I'll have to go seek out Mother's magnolia (made by a friend in a ceramics class, but quite lovely) and find a springtime place to enjoy it. Co-incidentally, I think it's up in the old linen-press with some exquisitely-embroidered lawn tea towels---a gift from a DEAR friend.

rachel

Hi Jeanne *hugs*
I was so happy to have you visit and check up on me. February has been one of those busy months I just haven't had a chance to post...or visit much. I'm glad you are doing well...and your desk is lovely and for sure I adore those bird lamps. The flowers both in the lamp and the vintage one are something you can't pick up just anywhere...thats why I enjoy thrifting too.
Have a great rest of the week...
