Thank you Sally for our Blue Monday fun.
EASTER IN FLORIDA
We had a grand time with out daughter and family this past Easter. I know Easter is past but I hope you don't mind if I share a bit of Easter fun.
First we dyed eggs. Blue seems to b the favorite color.
Every year I make the Easter cake.
No coconut on the bunny's face because everyone is not fond of coconut.
My daughter and I went to pick up a few needed groceries and when we came home our cake was a bit altered.
My grandsons and my son-in-law had some fun. Can you see what they did to our sweet bunny. He looks a bit evil.
Then we all did this...
The bunny now looks a bit like Wile E. Coyote
That was not a plan. HA!
It was a delicious cake and we had a grand Easter togther.
Blessings and love,
JEANNE
Ah Ha Ha... that's a good one Jeanne. I can see that nobody likes coconut. His cheeks are gone but the top and bottom are still in tacked. LOL...
So glad you had a fun Easter with your family. I LOVE the cake. You are so talented : )
No wonder I love you so much.
Thanks for the phone call. It's always nice to hear your voice. We sure laugh don't we. I'll never tell anyone what we were peeing our pants about though, wink wink ; 0

Exactly the same cake WEEEEE used to make (except somebody of OURS would catch us not looking and swirl the whiskers into Poirot curls, or add Bugs Bunny eyelashes or gummi-worm hair).
Good times, my friend, and it's a blessing to share yours.

Great post, Jeanne. I love the stages of the cake. That looks like something my guys would do, too. And, I would have been happy to have some of the coconut cake.
Love you.♥
By the way, I hope you and Claudie recovered from the peed pants issue.

Hi lovely Jeanne!! Wow, have I missed you!! One wedding down, one in 4.5 weeks! I'm just trying to pace myself, and had to come by and say hi! Glad your Easter was joy filled! I spent mine resting in the hotel room we got for the wedding, and at the absolutely divine Canaveral Seashore! Just the little break I needed!
Hugs to you, sweetie!
Know that I think of you often!

How cute those were. I was thinking the same thing, "that bunny looks a little irritated"
It would be fun to spend Easter (and any holiday) with our family.

ApollineFebruary 28, 2012Hi Paul,I've got a question reidgarng the teddy bear tutorial Can you pipe the buttercream straight onto the ganache and just put fondant for the feet pads, ears, arms and tail? It seems like a waste (as it's all hidden) and I think I'll stress a lot trying to cover the whole teddy with fondant.
