GONE...
I was at the auction with my sister on Monday night and I bid and won a beautiful painted piece of furniture.
It might be called a Demilune or buffet but I call it fabulous.
See for yourself.
I love this so much. It is over 5 feet long, perfect for my 20 foot wall.
It is made by Habersham Plantation.
Did you notice the pottery on display. This is a gift from my dearest friend Beverly at, How Sweet the Sound. I think it looks beautiful on my new cabinet.
A closeup. It is so pretty. Thank you Beverly.
Another view. It has three drawers and storage on all three sides.
I bet you want to know what I paid for this beauty. It was a steal at $350. It came from a million dollar home and estate. I'm so Luuuuucccky. Ok, i'm smart too. I had to out bid another bidder and it was scary but I won. I love auctions.

Many of you know I am in a Circle Journal group of ten. I just finished my two pages for Kay Ellen. Her Theme is 'Travels by the Sea' It was fun to do beause I love the Sea. I hope she likes them.
A closeup of the first page.
A closeup of the 2nd page.
This has been the most lovely idea and it is so much fun to see the completed pages that the members of the circle have done. By November we will have completed 10 journals and we get our own back. I am anxious to see my completed journal but I have to be patient and wait.
I am thankful for the many blessings blogging has brought me over the past four years.
Love,
JEANNE

Hi Jeanne! What a great piece you came home with from that auction! I have only been to one and really loved the experience - and winning the prize, too! Didn't get furniture - was on a prop shopping trip for a show I was doing. Got some nifty things - but - now what do I do with them?
LOVE your journal pages. So two of our gals have a "sea" theme. I just did Laverne's book "Gift from the Sea" - this Sea Travels theme sounds like something more playful. Thinking cap on!
Joy!

Hi dear, I'm home from Africa and catching up!
Wow, what a beautiful piece to acquire for your already lovely home - great bidding!!!!
Love the gift of pottery from Beverly - it's quite unusual and very attractive.
Hope you're somewhere cooler than here - I can't believe we returned to such heat and an almost dead garden, really disappointing!
Hugs dear - have a lovely Summer.

Jeanne that is a beautiful piece of furniture. You did get it for a steal. Well done. And your creative journal club is interesting. I have never heard of people working in other peoples scrapbooks but I totally like it. I started thinking about it - and its kind of like our autograph books. They are so special. I can't even tell you how much they move me to tears. (surprise surprise there). I read your other post about your neices graduating and your right, they are beautiful girls and it's great to see them happy and on thier way in life. Haven't been in the blogging world for so long. Just had to check in and say hi to see what everyone else is doing in thier little piece of the planet.
Hugs to you.
Jewells.
