Now that's what I call a PARTY for Beverly. I can't believe she's 60 WOW. For some reason I thought it was a couple weeks ago. I think I jumped the gun just a little in wishing her a happy one, oops.
Nice job Jeanne.
It's a beautiful day here. The day you all arrived. We were at the airport going crazy and waiting for our Wendy girl. It was all soooo exciting wasn't it? One year today. Hard to believe really.
Big meeting last night with the locals about the plant again. Between conversations on fb and on the phone about my operation and the plant... my head is spinning. I did manage to get my hair cut and nails done yesterday. Manon and her hubby might come here on Sunday and tomorrow Brittany is having us over for Randy's belated birthday dinner.
Riley was at the hospital with a piece of metal in his eye... they had to drill it out. I had that happen in my 20's. NOT FUNNY AT ALL!!!! He's off work for 3 days. Doing fine.
Colt and Randy went into work today. They haven't been in for a few weeks now. Summer, all government is on holidays, which is just fine with us. Randy is crashed out. Big pain day today. They also went out for lunch with the "boys".
So the bad news is if I have my operation before April, which I'm sure I will, I'm told I will not be traveling anywhere for a year!!!! It's either going to be simple and I'm going to adjust really well, or I'll take a long time to heal. I'm a fast healer, but of what I've been reading from a group on fb,that have had the surgery, and I'm talking hundreds, it's not looking simple at all. I know it's MAJOR, but didn't know the extent of the aftermath. No bending, raised toilet, no tying shoes, no sitting for long periods of time, PAIN PAIN PAIN. Holy moly. But I'm still doing it. I can see why people back out *(no pun intended) of it all. I keep positive and thank my lucky stars that I have Randy and Colt here to help me. 7 days or more and re-had for crying out loud. : (
So besides that, we are going crazy with stopping the zoning for the asphalt plant. We now know why they want that one piece of land in the middle of the farm land. They (the nice Plantagenet folks) are sitting on the biggest gravel pit around. And where there's gravel, theres a quarry and what better material to make asphalt?? They aren't stupid. They know how many millions is sitting there for this. Some of the folks that own this land didn't even know they were sitting on a gravel pit. Many many acres. Buy one, the rest sell cheap because their land isn't worth crap with a plant next to it. They sell, then it's a domino effect. Makes me soooo mad. Anyway more meetings more petitions and more time. But we are running out of time. Precious time.
Happy weekend my dear friend. Are the grands still there? I hope you had nice weather. And was it a fire pit after all in the mail????? I've been wondering.
Wendy has her gang there today. She is SOOOO happy. Funny how they arrived on the same day all of you did. I'm sad you're not all here again.
Julie is now homeless, so to speak. She's moved out now and is staying with her friend. She goes on her cruise Aug. 8th for 3 weeks, then her new home will be ready Sept. 8th I think. We talked yesterday. She's holding her head up high. Not sure how she keeps it together. I'd be falling apart at the seams.
Ok enough rambling.
Happy Weekend my dear dear friend in N.C.

Hey you!! You are a Party Planner Extraordinaire"! I love all of the special touches you gave to Beverly's Birthday Bash!!! So cute!
Bonnie, Marian and I did our "float and bloat" this afternoon..it was a great day for it....only in the 90s vs the 100s. Tomorrow, another friend and I are meeting up for a "birthday run"! I can only run/walk right now because of my hand and the fear I'll crash again before I get my splint off (which I'm praying is Monday!)....she's having foot pain from heel spurs...so we're both on the same running level.
Watching a bit of the Olympics Opening Ceremony and getting our breakfast ready for tomorrow. I bribed her with food if she'd meet me to run! ha ha
I know you are crazy busy with your grands....but in such a good way!!
Take lots of pictures!

Hey . . . now we know the decade! Ha. At one point past 40-something I decided to quit counting. I always got strange looks when it came time to figure my age b/c I needed the math b/c I wasn't counting. After too many strange looks and queries, I just decided to do the math and stick with it. Ha ha.
Happy Pink Saturday!
