"OH WHAT A PARTY"
It was held at the Balsam Inn in North Carolina
Our granddaughter is in this photo. The Inn was a wonderful place to have our anniversary celebration. The sky looks like a water color of blue.
Here's to my Blog friends for your many comments about our 50th Anniversary. You have commented on our anniversary cruise in Dec. 2012 as wells as the several posts about our 50th anniversary plans in 2013 and now 'no doubt' the 50th celebration party I am sharing today. From out hearts to yours we send you all our heartfelt...
NOW LETS PARTY ON...
Decorations
The first thing we did when we arrived at the Balsam Inn was to decorate the event room. All of my family pitched in and we made magic happen.
The cake table.
The flowers on the cake table are from my dearest friend of nearly 43 years. Did you guess it is our Pink Saturday hostess, Beverly. The next photo of flowers from Beverly were on the head table. Thank you so much my dear friend. We are thrilled to have them.
They were gorgeous. This photo was taken after the party at home.
We chose to serve cupcakes with a small cutting cake. There were five different kinds of cupcakes.
The table decorations and mints handmade by Jeanne (me)
The fireplace mantel
The Banner
The wedding dress
Our room had a wonderful surprise waiting for us.
Beautiful flowers with greetings all the way from Canada. They were from our sweet and very dear friends, Claudie and Randy. We were surprised and so very pleased.
Thank you so very much with love to you both. We missed you so much.
A toast and happy anniversary wishes from Claudie and Randy.
Back to the celebration...
After the most delicious dinner was served and enjoyed by all, we renewed our vows. The minister is our brother-in-law. This was a very special moment.
Thank you so much Robert.
Our vows.
The cake ceremony
The toasts
Our oldest son Brett gave the toast along with our brother-in-law Bill.
Thank you Brett for a toast to remember. Brett gave us advice with a list of several words of wisdom we said to our children as they grew up. I will post them another time. The humor was not lost on us. Smile.
Our son Brett with is beautiful wife Lori. We love you very much.
Another toast
My brother-in-law Bill gave us a beautiful toast that was full of emotion and love. He apologised to me for not waiting for me one morning (I was 16 and always late) as he took my sister to school. They have been married over 50 years. He thanked us for accepting him into our family like a brother. We love you dearly Bill and your toast meant so much to us.
Check out Beverly's gift of flowers behind my brother-in-law.
The music
Our granddaughter Molly sang and played the guitar with our grandson Cody accompanying her.
This was a very special part of our evening.
Molly and Cody
Our granddaughters Molly, Ashley and our grandson Cody. Our son John got in this pic. Do you see him? HA! Ashley was dedicated to taking photos for us of the party. Thank you so much Ashley.
Our youngest son John and his beautiful wife Yvonne. We love you very much.
SLIDE SHOW
Our daughter Diana spent untold hours making a slide show of
our 50 years together. I can't share this with you but it was a
wonderful addition to our celebration.
Thank you so very much Diana.
All eyes were on the slide show. Lots of laughter and sounds of approval were heard during this 16 minute show. (I phone pic)
We love your dearly for the effort you made with this slide show. We will cherish it the rest of our life.
Our niece Beth, our daughters Christina and Diana and our niece Shelly.
Beth and Shelly came all the way from Kansas to attend our 50th. We love you dearly. You made our celebration so much more special to have you share our special day.
Random photos
Our daughter Christina with her son/our grandson, Caleb.
Our grands Molly and Jacob
Our granddaughter Roxie. She took a lot of the photos I have shared today. Thank you Roxie dear.
Our daughter Andrea with our grands.
A bunch of awesome grandchildren. Sadly, two of our grandson's are missing.
Barbara and Ed, our friends for 49 years. You both look wonderful. They have been married 60 years. You rock!
My dear sweet blog friends that came from GA to share our special day. Teresa in the back and CC and her husband Johnny. Thank you so much for sharing our special day.
Rick and Bill...friends since they were kids. Rick was our best man and Bill was Ricks best man for his wedding. Rick took all of the portraits of the many guests whe attended our party. His lovely wife Dee is not in any of the photos I have. Sigh!
Rick, we can't thank you enough. That was the best gift ever. We can't wait to see the photos to share them with our family and friends.
My maid of honor Shirley, my sister-in-law and Bill's sister, with Rick our best man.
Shirley, we are so thankful you and Robert could be here to share our special day. We love you dearly.
My dear sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Shirley and Robert.
There are so many more photos we would love to share but I will end this post with two special photos. I apologise for such a long post. This post is not only for my blogging friends, it is for my friends and family too. I left many of our dear friends and family out with regret.
Our children Bill and I are in this next photo. We are blessed to have wonderful children, grandchildren and friends.
Andrea, Brett, Diana, Christina and John.
We love you and we are so proud of you all.
One last photo I couldn't resist. It is our oldest daughter Andrea toasting our 50th most special celebration that anyone could ever have.
We love you dearly

Oh Jeanne, I had to stay up to see your entry. I knew that it would be special, and it is! Even though you told me the details, this was such a superb party; I can't imagine how it could have been better. You and Bill are such lovely people and your family and friends are all smiles.
The live entertainment must have been super special with the professional grandchildren preforming.
The cake table looked so golden and special.
To have your Best Man and Maid of Honor present is a treat, I'm sure.
Happy Anniversary, Jeanne, and of course, Happy Blue Monday!
