BLUE IS ALWAYS A GREAT DECORATORS CHOICE
It is my choice for the bedroom in our cabin. The cabin is on our property and serves as a guest house. The bed belonged to my parents and I still love the vintage oak headboard and footboard.
The blue log cabin quilt is handmade from a lady who lives nearby. I bought it 15 years ago never dreaming we would live here one day. The accent quilt and shams were purchased a few years ago from a place that sold handmade quilts from overseas. My accent color is yellow.
THE NEXT FEW PHOTOS ARE FROM A DECORATORS POINT OF VIEW.
Striking in my opinion. But not for me.
Dreamy
A teens bedroom.
So pretty!
This pic was sent to me in an email. Love the blue and the deer wants to eat the flowers.
Happy Blue Monday
Blessings and love, Jeanne
Your guest room is so cozy. Loved the last picture with the deer.

Sure hope those are fresh flowers not silk...lol Blue is my favorite color so I'm always checking everyone's Blue Monday posts. Hope you have a great day Jeanne.

I like your guest room and quilt. Now that "striking" room is too much for me.
To answer your query, visitors are allowed to tour inside the mansion, and my group did. They just didn't take any photos. Perhaps it was forbidden.
Happy Blue Monday, Jeanne.

My Goodness! As Mammaw used to say, "End of MY DREAM!!" when you'd unknowingly mentioned something connected to whatever she'd dreamt about.
I drowsed this morning, thinking of your last sweet comment on Lawn Tea, and just lay there, imagining that I was going to step out of my room, and onto that beautiful deck, right out to that VIEW. It was so real as I floated there, feeling the wood beneath my bare feet, going out and just looking my eyes full---far away, far away.
The room is absolutely perfect and charming and welcoming, like your own dear self as you write. And I'd rather spend a night there, snug in that family bed with its memories, knowing you were just footsteps across the lawn, than the Queen's Bedroom at Versailles.
love and happy rest-of-Summer---the leaf-turn from that balcony must be spectacular as the season goes on.
Rachel
PS I was just wondering the other day---is Claudie stlll doing well? I miss her bright pink cheeriness.

Hello lovely lady. Well, Blue is my sister's favorite color. Always has been. I like it. But, my fav is yellow. But, I don't decorate with yellow actually.
