SHARING A FEW SMALL CHANGES ON OUR CABIN DECK
Fall has prompted me to spruce up our cabin deck. The cabin is on our property fairly close to our home. It is the best thng to have when we have a huge family and lots of company.
I purchased some window boxes at a Flea market and previously I just put them on the deck awaiting for me to decide what to do with them. Here is what I did as a temporary look for Fall. The first thing to do was to strap them down to the deck railings. I am happy with how they look. Then I planted a few small mums for color. In retrospect, I wish my mums were BIGGER. Such is life sometimes.
I took these photos this morning and our big maple tree shaded the deck too much. However, I am impatient and here they are.
We added a small fire pit that was given to us by our children. I bet they can't wait to have a nice fire on a chilly day with roasted marshmallows.
CHAIRS NOW
CHAIRS BEFORE
No more ugly table. I found a wrought iron table in Good Will for $7.00. It is so much better.
Here is a before of the flower boxes placed on the deck floor.
I am definitely happy with my little bit of improvements.
Happy Outdoor Wednesday
Blessings and love,
JEANNE

How welcoming, especially for Fall! I just look my eyes full of all your beautiful arrangements and colors of your home, and it's just the most delightful place---I imagine it set WAY in the high woods, with all those scents and sounds of the mountains. And to look that far-far way across the tops of the trees---I've always been a flatland girl, with a rim of treeline far as you could see, but I guess it's my HILL forebears that make me long for that kind of place.
Hope all is well with you and all of yours---October weather and the turnings---what a lovely time of year.
love and,
rachel

You did good, Jeanne. ♥ The planters add so much, and the mums will grow. The deck looks cozy and inviting.
