This lovely manger scene was painted by my mother-in-law Mollie. She was very artistic and began painting in her later years. She displayed this manger scene every Christmas outside with a spotlight shining on Jesus. We feel so blessed to be able to enjoy her beautiful art on the birth of Jesus. She lived in Florida and outside was not like it is here in the mountains. We enjoy it in our home where it is warm and safe from harm.
Have a warm and blessed

Aw Jeanne,
Your mother-in-law was talented indeed! How wonderful that you've preserved this lovely nativity scene! I have a ceramic that my mom did, but it's been broken and glued and reglued; however, I still display it.
Thanks for playing today.
Happy Blue Monday!

I have a nice manager scene but have not put it out this year. In fact, I have very little decorations up. Yours is much better than mine.

Beautiful Nativity and so nice that it was made by a family member!
Have a Merry Christmas!

Not just Blue, but Mary-Blue. How sweet a scene, (that little spotted calf!) and to have it from the hands of someone so dear to you both---what a treasure.
We had our Christmas Tea last night, and had a wonderful time. Caro and I just spent the morning in her neat, beautifully decorated "house" upstairs, with the lights twinkling and carols playing, just talking it over and reminiscing and talking of the sweet things Sweetpea said.
Then we raided the fridge and made little nickety plates of what-ever-we-wanted of party goodies for lunch. Ended up with cocoa up by the Christmas Tree. We WERE TIRED. Isn't it nice to just put your feet up and enjoy when you've worked so hard and the party was a success?
Wish you coulda shared it with us---always a place at our table for YOU. (and dear Beverly, as well).
love and,

Oh Jeanne, your mother-in-law was a beautiful talented lady. I love the Nativity so I would display this like you! Inside where it is safe from the elements. Gorgeous share and what a treasure to cherish. Have a beautiful week and thank you for sharing. Hugs, Anne
