PINK SATURDAY
*************************************
A BEAUTIFUL CHRISTMAS PRESENT
Our son and daughter-in-law sent our Christmas present by UPS.
It was a basket with 3 little green bits of something growing.
The following photos are of the most beautiful white and pink amaryllis blooms that took abiut 5 weeks to grow.
Honestly, it was and amazing journey as we watched this plant literally grow by inches each day.
I wish now that I had photographed the growing progress.
Hindsight...Sigh.
Thank you Brett and Lori for the most fun gift we have ever received.
Presenting...
We placed in on our game table for the light. We had to turn it daily as the stems leaned toward the light. We did this to keep it growing straight up.
Our weather is foggy and very cold re: the background from our deck.
A look from another angle.
I took this practically looking up toward the ceiling. I wanted you to see the pink.
Another closeup showing the ceiling.
Another view from our diningroom table.
We are truly loving these beautiful blooms. There are still some buds in the back that are opening up.
Happy Pink Saturday
Blessings and love,
JEANNE
Jeanne, how beautiful...and if you hadn't done the close up we would have missed the pink in the center!

Oh, Jeanne, these flowers are just beautiful. Looks like the tips were dipped in pink paint! What a sweet gift too. I've never had an amaryllis and I'll bet it was fun to watch it grow. Hope you're having a nice weekend.
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)

How very lovely a gift, and what a magnificent display! The ethereal pink of the petals, and the deepening rosy shades in the throats---simply gorgeous. Flowers are magic that stays on the wand, I think.
I've probably mentioned that my Mammaw simply loved amaryllis---somehow that word was plural to her, and so she called one an Amarillo, just as when she gave you a slip of her coleus for your garden, she gave you a colea.
What bright beautiful memories you've kindled with this exquisite blossom---and you know it will live on, year after year, both in your home and in these delightful images you've captured. What a wonderful Christmas present! And future.
love and,
