A teacher asked her students to list what they thought were the seven wonders of the world.
The most voted on were the following:
There was one student. a girl who had not finished her paper. Her teacher asked if she needed some help. She said, "A little, there was just so many to think about."
The teacher asked the student to read them to everyone.
With hesitation, she read them to the class.
You could have heard a pin drop.
These wonders cannot be built by man or bought by man.
We take these wonders for granted every day.
What a wonderful reminder for us to appreciate what is truly the seven wonders of the world.

Happy Blue Monday

So glad you shared this. It is wonderful and so true. Nothing like a child to find the right answers.

How lovely to share this with you on this sunny MONDAY! Those are my list, too, those marvels that we cannot fathom, those gifts we breathe in and out with no regard save to wonder of their magic.
On my list are also some other unfathomable-to-me mysteries: The secret knowing of seed, of the when and where and just which way is up as they seek the sun, the oddity of a small buzzy creature with the ability to create the sweet blessing that is honey, the intricate and perfect blood-flow as it goes about its busy business as we go ours, a how-9n-the-world dedicated to the synapses of the brain, with everybody's thoughts still theirs, still stored and recalled and reflexed and used as a matter of course.
And I've always said my favorite INVENTIONS were the three A's: Anesthesia, Antibiotics, and Air Conditioning!
love,

Beautifully said here Jeanne! It is so easy to take for granted things we need to survive! My grandmother was blind and lost her sight when I was 7 years old. She had other senses that were so much more accurate than mine! I hope your week is wonderful. Hugs to you!

This is so true though. I think babies are more a wonder than anything as we are being blessed by another great granddaughter in October, our third great granddaughter. I can hardly wait. But there are so many wonders my heart cannot hold them all.
Pop over and see what is new. I've missed blogging but will be better in the future.
xoxo,
Connie
