I NEED TO SHARE SOMETHING WITH YOU
Blue Monday is a day I look forward too each week. I have missed a couple of posts for Blue Monday recently. Life sometimes takes over and things change a bit.
I have needed quite a lot of ways to stay calm lately. Chamomile is my favorite tea in the evening. It has a calming effect.
My husband had a hip replacement almost three weeks ago. He had some complications so healing has taken longer than most people. He is doing fine now but he still needs lots of care.
I have not had time to return many of the sweet comments and I want to thank you for your well wishes. It means a lot to us.
So about my take on "tea."
I love the saying on this card.
This cup and saucer is a thrifty find and I chose this one because it is blue. Drinking my tea in this cup just makes me happy. It must be the color blue. Smile.
The saying below is another quote that speaks to me.
This one really made me chuckle.
I consider myself a strong woman. I give my mother all the credit for this because we were raised this way. I have four sisters and we are all the same in the way we think and accept life as it comes.
At times when things demand more from us we are able to do what needs to be done.
We women must be strong in our love of family, friends and most of all our faith.
Happy Blue Monday.
Love,
JEANNE
I just finished two cupfuls of tea while bloghopping for Blue Monday! It was a Moroccan Mint Green Tea flavor.
That's a very nice simile you've got there about women and tea. Thanks for sharing!

Hi Jeanne,
Isn’t it fun finding blues to share? Thanks for playing today. I'm glad that Bill is progressing nicely.
One day I'll try tea again.
Happy Blue Monday!

Jeanne, a trying time for you but maybe it's back to smoother traveling soon. And as you travel through life, be sure and take your tea in that pretty blue and white cup.

I have never been fond of hot tea. I dearly love a big glass of ice tea tho. In this day and time, you have to find your inner strength to survive. Glad Bill is doing better. His and your welfare more important than comments. Take care.

I love a cup of tea and my late husband always used to enjoy it when I brought out a tea tray with dessert in the evenings. I'm glad to hear your husband is doing better, things should get easier by the day now. Being a caregiver is only for the strong!!

Hoping you had a wonderful FOURTH, and that you and your BILL have a quick recovery. I love to think of you two up and about early, going about your activities and doings together.
Moire non from the PINK front---still getting it JUST RIGHT. Last big cabinet to be installed today, and all is done.
love and thinking of you both every day,

Sending you and Bill Hugs and for a good recovery. Hip surgery is so important and it takes awhile to get to where you want to be. Strong woman. I like that.

Sweet Jeanne....
I'm sorry you're going through such a stressful time and I hope it gets better soon for you. I'm glad Bill is getting better though, albeit slowly.
I'll say a prayer for you both :)
I hope you had a lovely Fourth, my friend.
love,
rue

Lots of prayers for Bill! My son Jeremy's girlfriend Brittany said her dad had a full hip replacement too. He seems to be getting along as he helped Jeremy install a new water heater last week and he also rerouted the gas line! The man drives his wife crazy, he does not like to sit still.! I love chamomile tea too. As a young girl my neighbor gave my mom seeds to plant the flowers. She would snap their heads off, dry them on the windowsill and make us fresh chamomile tea straight from the garden. I always slept so well. I drink Celestial Seasoning Sleepy Tea these days before turning in. I will continue praying for Bill and hope he is 100 percent before long. Sometime our bodies just need us to rest. Love this sweet post. Hugs, Anne

Hi Jeanne! I'm so glad to hear Bill is doing better. I'm sorry her had the setback but I'm sure you're an excellent nurse to him. Just take your time and take care os yourself too!
be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)

Bill here. Jeanne is truly a remarkable woman and the best care giver I could possibly have.
The setback was not totally unexpected and what it keeps me from putting full weight on the hip for another two weeks. However there is plenty of therapy to do even with the weight restriction. I should be fully, or almost fully, functional by the start of football season. :)
Thanks from me and even though I don't manage to express it often enough my wife is truly special.

Bill and Jeanne, hope things continue to go well and recovery is speedy!
I agree with LaVoice in not being a fan of tea. Once in a while it is ok but the most awful concoction is when people put milk in it!
