NOTHING IS AS CONSTANT AS CHANGE
Most of you know I am one of five sisters. Four of us live pretty close together and the fifth one lives not too far away in Atlanta.
The sisters
This was taken on my birthday a couple of years ago.
From left to right is Carmen, Caralie, Jeanne, Diane and Jane Anne
Carmen's husband died last November and she has decided to leave her big house and move to our cabin just about 50 feet from our back door. I am thrilled and she is happy to move nearer to me and have a smaller home to clean.
She is bringing some of her things Re: furniture and things she loves but mostly the cabin will remain the same. One room that will not change is the bedroom that is decorated with our mother and dad's big oak bed. She is delighted to sleep in a bed that holds dear memories for us all.
The big oak bed
So now my sister Caralie who is my 'backyard neighbor' (also my blog name) and my sister Carmen who 'will' be my next door neighbor, brings a change that makes us all happy. As sisters we are very close and being together is a blessing.
Happy Blue Monday
Blessings and love,
JEANNE
How nice to have your sister Carmen living close to you, Jeanne! It is wonderful to be part of a big loving family!

Mornin' Jeanne,
How fortunate you all are to have each other so close! I'm happy for Carmen that she won't have to go far to find company.
Thanks for playing today.
Happy Blue Monday!

That was a good move on your sister's part. I'm so sorry for her loss. My husband, Bill and I traded a huge home in Ohio 4 years ago for a small bungalow in Florida and enjoyed it so much. He passed away last Oct 30 and I didn't have to move. It is totally manageable and not too big for one, even though I miss him being here. I didn't live near any of my three sisters, but now live near two and my mom. It's a big life change when you are widowed and it's so good to be near family.

You are a very blessed lady Jeanne! I was sitting here thinking of my own sister who lives about 120 miles from me. I wish we could be closer because we love visiting and she lives alone, with her pacemaker and I worry. Her grand daughter is a nurse and my sister helps my niece Karla care for Kate's two little ones half time. I love your folks beautiful oak bed and I am happy your sweet suister is your new backyard neighbor too. You are very much loved and so blessed. Have a beautiful week. Hugs, Anne

Your sister is a very fortunate lady. Not many families care like that for older loved ones. I love the quilt on the bed.
