The Callaway Gardens Butterfly Center
We recently visited these gardens in GA about three hours from where we live. We joined some friends from a camera club that we used to belong to in Florida. We were there for a weekend and loved our time there. The Butterfly Center was amazing and I have some butterfly photos I would like to share with you today.
Note: This is a very small part of the many things we photographed. I will share more later. Warning...long on photos.
This is a photo sign and my hubby is peeking top right.
Entrance to the center.
A view of the back of the center. It was amazing.
The Butterfly Center was beautiful inside.
Now for the butterfly's
This butterfly lighted on my hand. It stayed for a few minutes.
Butterfly Cocoons
This was taken through glass. It was very interesting to see the butterfly's hatching.
There is lots more of Callaway Gardens to share next time.

Here is a chuckle for you.
Happy Blue Monday
Blessings and love,
JEANNE

Congratulations, Jeanne on winning third place in the photo competition! I loved your photos of the butterflies at the butterfly pavilion. There is also a butterfly pavilion here in Westminster which I've brought my grandchildren to see.
I hope you had a happy Mother's Day!

We have had butterfly shows around here occasionally, but nothing to compare to this sight. Would love seeing this place. However, it is nice doing so through your lens. Keep on traveling and doing what you enjoy, as tomorrow could be a different day.

Hi Jeanne,
Well what a beautiful place and I'm a massive fan of butterflies! I know these tropical species well too as our closest RHS garden at Wisley holds a Butterflies in The Glasshouse event in the first few months of the year :-) You'll find lots of posts on them in my blog! You have a Rusty-tipped Page, a Malachite, a Postman, a Tiger Longwing and a Lacewing there :-D
Have a wonderful week,
Sarah

Hi Jeanne, Beautiful butterflies! What a beautiful visit you had! I have always loved butterflies and on my 16th birthday my aunt Ang baked me a beautiful butterfly cake with yellow and brown coconut and licorice for his antenna. I also have several pairs of butterfly earrings. Goodness, you made me smile today Jeanne. Thank you and have a blessed and beautiful week. Also congrats on your photo win! Woo Hoo! Very cool xo
