MORE OF CHIHULY'S ART PIECES
GIFT SHOP MEIJER GARDENS GRAND RAPIDS, MICHIGAN
I am sharing some Chihuly art pieces that were beautiful and for sale in the gift shop. The prices varied from $3,500 up to $6,000. I have wondered how many were sold at those high prices.
The photos are not great because I photographed them through glass.
Would you buy any of these pieces?
Enjoy...
The last thing I have to share was hanging in the lobby.
This photo does not do this chandelier justice.
I needed to get a closer shot but you can see it is amazing.
If you Google Chihuly's work, click on images and you will see more of his work.
Happy Blue Monday
Blessings and love,
JEANNE
Hi Jeanne!
I do love Chihuly's glass creations but I would not be able to afford these wonderful pieces that were for sale. He had a fabulous show in the Denver Botanic Garden a couple years ago and the garden bought and kept a few of works on display.
I recently took a class on making a fused glass bowl--it was fun to do and my bowl became my glass "work of art"!
Happy Blue Monday!

My dear Jeanne,
after this period of 'interlude' I had to allow myself due to work reasons - the Short Lets I manage here at Tenuta Geremia, the speech about the Empress of Austria I had to prepare and to perform at the conference which was held last Saturday at Madonna di Campiglio, in our Dolomiti, some works of restoration here and the family to join and follow took me far from the pc for more than a month and a half - I'm so overjoyed by finding myself here again, thank you !
Hope your week is off to a great start
I'm sending hugs and ever much love to you
Xx Dany

Interesting and different art works, Jeanne. I also have objects of blue glass in my blog today...
Thanks for hosting and enjoy the new week!

They truly are amazing works of art, but I would never buy something like those, nor would I spend that kind of money for an inanimate, unfunctional object! Am I weird? Probably. I enjoyed seeing the Chihuly works at our Dallas Arboretum, but I still prefer the beauty of the blooming flowers and landscape of nature much more.

Truly outstanding work of art, but it would definitely not look good in my home. I do schedule my post ahead of time, but it will not link in to yours or whomever. If there is a way, I do not know what it is. I leave Wednesday if weather permits. Not sure of return.

Thank you for hosting. I like the concept of "Blue Monday," but I'm afraid most of my blue will probably always be blue and white china! :D
