MEIJER GARDENS IN GRAND RAPIDS, MICHIGAN
I have just a few photos to share considering how many treasures there were to photograph.
These pics were my favorite things.
Not sure what to call this but it was stunning.
Is it an urn?
The vases were beautiful,
And very expensive. I didn't buy one. Sigh!
This is the entrance to the gardens. A wonderful walkway into the gardens. The gift shop was not far from the entrance.
The quality of the treasures in the gift shop was unexpected to say the least.
The month of October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
Please get your mammogram now.

Have a wonderful Pink Saturday and week.
Blessings and love,
JEANNE
Very nice goodies, but out of my range. Always nice to see the other side of the coin.

What a gorgeous place!! You sure did spot a bunch of pink on that trip!!
Well, as you know from my FB I survived the marathon....I didn't die, I didn't get hurt...but I have been creaky slow since then! haha! It was a strange experience to not be able to walk normally for a bit after I crossed the finish line. I hadn't had that experience after any of the long training runs, but those were done in conditions that didn't always mimic race day conditions. Also there were a ton of hills on the course....hills hurt!! :)
All in all....I'm very happy to have set that goal, worked hard for months and actually pulled it off. It was so neat that my son ran the mara also. His kiddos swooped down on me as I neared the finish line and pulled me to the timer mat! ha! Actually I was fearful they were gonna knock me over....I was pretty wobbly by the time I finished. The grand girl held my hand as we crossed the finish....and the youngest wanted to know if I'd brought him a lollipop! My son was waiting there to hug me..even my husband made it to this event. My DIL was there, too! My good running buddy Karen (she did the half) waited for me to finish, too! I am so lucky to have these people in my life.
Anyway, I hope all is well with you!! It is here today! haha
